For your customers who desire the sophisticated look of beveled glass but not the price, 3M introduces a new series of innovative products designed to enhance glass applications with the beauty of beveled light--without the high cost or structural limitations.
3M™ Accentrim™ Products use a 3M patented technology to transform the appearance of glass in a way that allows light to filter through, casting a rainbow of colors. These products bond to glass surfaces and resist shrinkage, discoloration, delamination and regular exposure to common home glass cleaners.
Accentrim™ products are available in a variety of styles that include V-Groove, Edge-Bevel or Half-Round. The products can be ordered in narrow width slit rolls or wide web rolls that repeat the accent pattern over as many as 17 inches of material.
From windows and doors to cabinetry and furniture items including entertainment centers, bookcases and mirrors, 3M Accentrim Products have numerous application possibilities. In addition to the home, slit roll and wide web rolls create unique architectural applications in environments such as office buildings, conference rooms, hotel foyers and restaurant booths.
With a little practice and patience cabinetry and furniture craftspeople can develop the skills to effectively apply the products to create the desired look and quality for their customers. This tool has the unique ability to quickly and accurately cut Accentrim Products to specific angles and lengths for custom glass designs. Coming soon, for manufacturers that wish to apply the Accentrim Products in high volume in repeatable styles, 3M will offer two different levels of automated application equipment. These machines are designed at different application speeds to address the application rates of even the largest window manufacturers.
