When required, fiber Bragg Gratings will be supplied in photosensitive fibers developed by 3M specifically for the grating fabrication process. These fibers are designed with matched mode parameters and mechanical sizes to be compatible with conventional interconnect and splicing technology to insure easy, low loss coupling to standard fibers and components. If your application calls for special grating performance or gratings with pigtails, we welcome the opportunity to provide a solution for a minimal engineering charge.
