3M’s unique dual-IDC (insulation displacement connector) approach promotes a gas-tight connection no matter what size wire is being terminated. With two connectors instead of just one, the system terminal easily accommodates a wider range of wire sizes-18 to 24 (1.0-0.5mm) AWG – than any ordinary single connector design.

Below ground in the outside plant, associated with a ducted system, i.e. Manhole, Handhole, etc.
