It is designed for use where a thin compressible insulation is important. It is breathable, moisture-resistant and can be washed or dry cleaned depending on individual manufacturers' recommendations. It is available in types C, CS, CDS.
Uses:
General Outerwear, Sportswear, Gloves and Accessories.
Warmth While Damp:
Retains insulating ability in damp conditions. Fibers absorb less than 1% by weight of water. Easily dried.
Flammability:
Class 1 -- as tested according to procedure described in 16 CFR Part 1610, Federal Flammable Fabrics Act.
Composition:
65% Olefin, 35% Polyester
Available Width:
Thinsulate™ Insulation Types C, CS, and CDS are available in 60 inch width with 2 inch inside core diameter.
